NC Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores - the whole family can enjoy an afternoon learning about the local habitat and you may even have a little fun while learning something new!
NC Maritime Museum - located just minutes away in historic Beaufort, this is always a favorite with visitors.
Fort Macon State Park - not only do they have a beautiful beach (with bathhouse!), but also a fascinating Civil War fort that has been restored and is open to the public.
Cape Lookout National Seashore - spend an afternoon combing the beach and exploring the historic Cape Lookout Lighthouse!

The Annual King Mackerel Tournament, Atlantic Beach - for the last 20 years, fishers have come to test their skill at the nation's largest all-cash King Mackerel tournament. Over 700 boats and an expected $600,000 this year!
NC Onshore & Inshore Fishing - if there is anything you need to know about where, how, or when to fish on the Crystal Coast, you will find it here. They'll even give you a recipe for cooking your catch!
Annual NC Seafood Festival - speaking of cooking, this annual event draws thousands to the Morehead City waterfront each year for super seafood, crafts, entertainment & much more! The first weekend of October is always reserved for honoring all the fishers who make our seafood delights possible.
NC Division of Marine Fisheries - keep up to date on the latest advisories and regulations by checking with these guys first.
